The Final Post

So...this will be my ver last blog entry! Sad!

Just to fill you in on the last few days...after exams finished the first thing we boys did was to jump on the UNT bus and see where it took us! (simple things please simple minds!)

It was a fun little ride! We had our goodbye dinner with Amber (pink top) the other night which was also rather sad! She supplied us with custom made t-shirts that James and I had designed the logo for and gave to all the brits as a parting gift. Pictured at the bottom is James, Anthony and myself sporting said t-shirts.

We hit Mission Imposible 3 with Misti after that...it was rubbish...don't go!

Then last night we had a Liesl party. It was awesome and everyone had a great time getting down on the dance floor. Today has been so leisurely, we breakfasted at Ihop for the final time and said our farewells to Judy, our favourite white trash waitress! Then we chilled by the pool with Monroe and Liesl and Kady.

And now I sit here, my bags packed and my room tidy, ready to go home and see my mummy and daddy (and Ciffy) and friends! It has been an emotional and amazing six months. I think that I have really grown into myself and hope that the Mikey Wilmot coming back to the UK is a more mature and learned person than the one that left.

I will be sad to leave behind many friendships that have grown over the last four months in Texas. I will not mention any names, as those of you I'm thinking of know who you are (and probably aren't wasting your time reading this anyway....you're way too cool for that)!

So here I disapear. I'm surrounded by my closest (James, Anthony, Chris and Andrew) and I'm so glad that they will be the last I see of Texas. I love my homies *blood*. Tonight I think I'm gonna hang with Misti and James and tomorrow Misti is driving us to the airport. Before any hanging takes place there is a serious mission to be accomplished....a tripple meat tripple cheese burger from whataburger....the challenge is set people!

Thank you to those of you who have read this, your comments make me feel popular and just to know that one person cares about what I'm up to is enough for me to want to fill the rest of you in!

I look forward (in fact can't wait) to see most of you in the next few days and weeks. Until another time. Love love. Mike. x

This is every photo I took in Texas! There are like 800 I think! x

So...stuff is really starting to wind down. It's scary sad! Hirdy and Yvonne (Leeds and Scotland) both left today as did Henrik (Dane). Isabella also left the other day too! It's really sad!

I'm now listening to Imogen Heap's song 'Hide & Seek' to put me in that even more 'emotional' mood!

I'm so excited about getting home and seeing all you guys. I'm pumped about seeing my family and just can't wait to eat some decent food!

The last couple of days have been incredibly busy considering I've finished all my academic work. The other day Anthony, James and I decided to 'ride' the UNT bus. We hopped on outside the College Inn and took a round trip back! Was good fellowship!

Tonight it's Liesl's last house party as she's sold her crib. It'll be so sad when we leave as the girls there have been such good mates to us. Boo Hoo!

More photos will follow and one final post I'm sure. For now....peace out. x (13) Posted by Picasa

Road Trip?

I just took some photos round campus...I can't believe there is less than a week left here! It's been my home! I'm 'pumped' on going home. Can't wait to see family and friends.

Thank you to everyone who sent birthday messages. I was so touched, you guys rock my face off! For those of you who didn't...well we'll have to reassess and see where our friendship stands now! I'm joking, in fact I don't think mum and dad sent me a birthday card! I'm so hurt! Haha!

Back to revision. Word. x Posted by Picasa

Not much to report....exams going on....two on my birthday; one went well...one didn't!

Got back and had a melon filled with rum with the boys and watched 24.

Off to play tennis with my good friend Misti now.
Safe. x Posted by Picasa

Homies...well I haven't blogged in some time! I have been so busy with my entrepreneurship project and exams that I haven't had a minute to say 'hello'.

In the picture is Gabe our golfology prof. James and I both completed the class with 'A' grades. What's more....James R Woodhall was the golfing champion of the class! He won the whole competition, and is thus pictured with his trophy (golf balls). Big up my brother from another mother.

Had a final this morning which went rather well. Received sad news of my Grandma (on mum's side) passing away which was something of a shock as she was such an energetic person. I was fortunate enough to speak to her only a week ago so in a way I got to say my 'goodbyes'.

My next exam is not till Monday....a problem here though....it's my birthday! What's more is that I actually have two exams on the day and one of them is for an evening class so doesn't start till half six! What a pain!

The swimming pool at College Inn (my halls) has finally opened so I'm going to enjoy some sun and swims this afternoon. Hope y'all enjoying what I'm told is some fine British weather....see you in a week and a bit! x Posted by Picasa

J'ai rien de neuf. Le temps est bel aujourd'hui et je suis allé à l'église ce matin.

Enough of that tosh....I'm trying to distract myself from work so I'm writing an entry, although really I have nothing to say.

I went to church this morning and it was so incredibly American. The sermon was on 'telling your kids about the birds and the bees. It was as a result, not really relevent to the young bachelor type and curious as there was no mention as to whether or not sex is in any circumstances a faux pas. Just how to talk to your kids about where they came from. Practical I suppose!

I've got a meeting tonight starting at 10pm as I have the final presentation for my entrepreneurship project on Wednesday. It means tonight is gonna be a bit of a late one though and I have both my golf practical final and my penultimate logistics exams on Monday....heavy!

News from Robin tells me he is now in San Franciso...the international man of mystery. Better look back at the books. Keep smiling kids, Jesus loves you! x Posted by Picasa

Last night....we had a tornado warning!!! It was crazy exciting, some people were stressing a little bit, and rightly so but muggins here was loving it. I really think it is awesome that nature can control such unstoppable power. There was meant to be a second warning at 2am, but I guess it never happened so tornado did not strike, but they were expecting baseball size hail stones!

Anyway, with Robin gone I have now begun to focus on my work. I have exams solidly for the next two weeks now so there is plenty to do. Oh the joys!

Well....I'd best head back to the books. Love love. x Posted by Picasa
