The work quantity here has been so spasmodic. When I first arrived I appreciated the ease of the work in recognition of the colossal amount there was to do.

Now, three months down the line, the quantity of work is consistent as before, but it's really got quite hard.

I was convinced that the British education system was far superior to that of the Americans, but alas I am forced to admit that the Americans work jolly hard. Time to step up the game Wilmot! x Posted by Picasa

Postal Service

Has anyone heard of the band Postal Service? I've had their CD for ages but have only just been listening to them a lot lately, they're awesome.....anyway, that is not my point. It is merely bridging me to my point that...

...I check my PO box everyday and for the last couple of weeks there has been nothing! Not even from my dear ma and pa (hint hint!).

So were any of you fine and lovely people, especially my dearest friends (Putters, Bradish, Ellaby, Hollins-Baker, Andrews; I'm giving you mentions here!), fancy sending me a little note, then it would be welcomed with much happiness here!

The address is:

Michael Wilmot
PO BOX 308942
University of North Texas
Denton
Texas 76203
USA (baby)!

I've chosen this photo because, although I'm not smiling, you can rest assured that I'm putting my clothes back on after the river swim! No more bums.

Have a Happy Easter everybody! And Happy Mother's Day Mummy! x Posted by Picasa

Mikey Wilmot Strikes Again

Mikey Wilmot strikes again....actually he doesn't really..... I'm in a thoroughly good mood and I can't put my finger on why. Perhaps it is due to my recent reunion with friends of old through the wonder that is the facebook! Or perhaps it is the amazing weather which has returned after such a long abscense! Maybe I am still filled with the joy of speaking to my family this weekend after such a long break; I do not know!

This picture was taken before spring break and I know I don't look particularly smooth or winning it it....but as you can see I am most certainly winning!

I just had a group meeting for my entrepreneurship project. As desparately sad as it sounds, I am rather enjoying the fact that I finally have some real work to do in which I can write more than two sentences! As I am sure I have mentioned, most of my exams are multiple choice and as a result it becomes a rare ocassion that I get to put pen to paper for any decent amount of time.

I'm just about to grab some dinner with Craig, after which I'm gonna be hitting the jacuzzi and shower before finishing the day in my books....marketing exam tomorrow, I just can't wait!

Keep up the lovely comments guys, they make me feel popular!

So as you guys can put a face to the name...these are the guys I live with.

We have (from L to R): Andrew (my roomie), Anthony (Leeds student, and lives next door), myself, and Chris (pure blooded Texan, Anthony's roomie).

Last night we went to a chap called Dave's birthday house party. It was very American with red plastic cups, a keg and lots of dancing. The only missing link was a bad ska band playing live music in the background.

Was a good time though and as far as I'm aware the party is still going on! Off to my exam in a mo....scary stuff! x Posted by Picasa

Rockin' Rodeo

Last night we went to Rockin' Rodeo, the ultimate Cowboy bar! The dance floor had sand on it to help you get in the groove and the country music was booming from the speakers.

The evening combined watching pervy cowboys hit on girls half their age, and young enough to be their daughters, and dancing hard the night away!

James and I headed home early, concious that I have an exam on Sunday and need Saturday to work. I jumped into bed and rolled over into slumbery heights. Now dreaming of all the lovely ladies, I woke up in a start to find that indeed, all five of our dancing damsels had made their way into the room and were attempting to violate my bedtime bubble for a cuddle!

Just had some pizza for breakfast after an early morning shift on the third floor of the library. Back to the books for me. Love love homies. x Posted by Picasa

Last night was off to Jake's (room mate of Scottish Craig and suite mate of James) house for a full on Texan BBQ. Those sausages you can see in the picture are deer meat killed by Jake six months ago. He has the head of the poor beast on his wall at uni!

Had my golf midterm on Wednesday!!!!! What a joke!

Feeling pretty tired at the mo, so it's just a short post today. Looking forward to a restful weekend! x Posted by Picasa

Official Apology

Without wishing the blog to be in any way pornographic I feel that I must make an apology and confession that indeed I was involved with some naked river swimming, and I feel no shame!

All future blog entries will see no more fabricated stories where by James looks to be a drunkard exhibitionist!

Safe homies! x Posted by Picasa

Hello readers! My apologies for the huge delay in writing...not only have we been abscent on spring break but my computer and I have had a couple of domestics since I've been back and we've only just kissed and made up!

So I'm gonna give you a few of the favourtie Spring break stories and a general overview of what we did...

...set off on Saturday (james, me and anna) for Anna's house in Tyler (country boy) Texas. Anna's parents were lovely and we spent two night there before heading off with the extra baggage of Anna's sister Ellen and her mate Meagan.

We arrived in San Marcos on Monday and were straight out in the sun. The highlights of our time there were a trip to the huge outlet mall, floating the river on blow up tires whilst slowly drinking a beer and lounging in the sun, watching James "leap" (stumble) naked into the river in the early hours and our day trip to San Antonio where we saw V for Vendetta, the new movie about blowing up the houses of parliamnet!

It was a great week and James and I had mixed emotions when we boarded the greyhound for Houston where we were off to see the darling Darlings. The emotions were single sided when the St Patrick's day celebrations started that evening. We went to friends of the Darling's for fried Turkey and fine wine. James entertained the party with some skillz on the piano whilst I entertained the mothers and their beautiful daughters with some smooth talking.

We had such an awesome time and it really was sad to leave those Darlings. This post goes out to them as a huge thank you for making our spring break so special! Thanks guys!

We're now back at UNT and the work load has just dropped on me like a tonne of bricks. Only eight weeks till we're back home which is a scary thought, I'll miss this place!

Excuse the spelling....I'm hungry some dinner and my hand is starting to shakea, ewf; jwjt j xxx Posted by Picasa

Spring Break Here We Come!

Well, Anthony and I hosted our 'sexy party' last night. To avoid any confusion as to what the theme of a 'sexy party' is...it's taken from the comedy cartoon series 'Family Guy'; Stewie the baby likes to have himself a 'sexy party' every once in a while.

We put out an invite to all UNT students on the facebook and so many people responded. We had random guys phoning up to find out what was happening! In truth we just went to a bar and celebrated Andrew's birthday (my roomy).

It was a really good night though and a sneaky trip to Jimmy Johns for a sub and lemonade was in order after we ripped it up in the garage bar! (Those ladies pictured are Yvonne (Scotland) and Jenny (Leeds girl)).

Today is the start of our Spring break road trip. We're off to Anna's family in Tyler first, then to San Marcus to dance on the river and then Houston to see the Darling family for the end of the trip. I can't wait to have some time off uni and I've bought myself a Julie Parsons novel to keep me going for the week!

So they'll be a weeks break from the blog but I look forward to reading all your AMAZING comments when I get back and posting all of the trips photos and stories.

Two different approaches to doing our homework...

Look I'm a boy band kid!

Is boy band kid the correct term? If not then I'm super sorry to use an already over and misused genre description. x Posted by Picasa

We are EMO kids! Yeah!

Well what a weekend we have had!

It began with the recording of Cowboy Colin, which was such a fun time. We were in a studio in the music block and it was incredible laughs. Most special of all was the excitement felt by James as his work was finally recorded.

The weekend did not end here however. On Saturday morning I headed out with Anthony (English) and his roommate Chris on a roadtrip to Ausin. The drive was long and the road was bumpy but four hours later we arrived in the what is probably the best city in Texas. We were staying with an old mate of Chris' from school and after watching a bit of the b-ball we headed for 6th street where the bars are. Most of the pubs were over 21's and those that let in 18+ had a cover charge of $15. Not wanting to pay such extortionate rates to get into a bar, we found a place that if purchasing food with your beverages a youngster can get in...onward we headed. After some laughs with some of the other patrons of the bar (in particular a table of nine or so lovely young ladies), we headed out.

Anthony and I then went to my friend Ben Darling's house. Ben and I lived in France together and then his family moved to England too. Ben's house was awesome and we met his cool girlfriend Talor as well. After some dance and drinks at Ben's we headed out with the intention of getting ourselves into a Sorority house (a fraternity for women). We walked past one and I boldly knocked on the door...and then Anthony saw the security guard. He innocently explained his way out of the situation in his cute English accent. In the mean time I was running far far away and happened to bump into some sorority girls who were kind enough to take us to their sorority house and show us round. We had our photo taken (above) with their sorority coat of arms and went on our way.

For the rest of the evening (or morning) we sat on a wall and introduced ourselves to all that walked by. We met some really cool people over the two hours we sat there and had such a laugh. At 6am we called it a day and hit the sack.

Back at UNT now and I'm so tired. Only one week till Spring break which I'm looking forward to. A massive thank you to Lucy Burnell for changing the "0" number of comments to a "1"...guys if you see that nobody has said anything then make a white boy feel popular yeah??! x

Who's on Facebook, put your hands up??

Onwards with my quest to become America's next top model I go...

Last night was one of the strangest nights ever. I fell asleep in front of South Park whilst reclining on the sofa and at four am work up in a startle, delirious in my uncommon surroundings. I headed for my real bed, which was covered in papers, and laid my head to rest. Suddenly I woke up again, this time at seven am...and I was back on the sofa! Crazyness!

The weather continues to represent over here, today was another blistering beauty! Seeing all the lovely ladies in their skimpy summer tops does little to help in my annual sacrifice for lent; casual sex and hardcore drugs.

Tomorrow I've just got golf and then a lot of homework, which I need to get done before Saturday as it appears that we (the boys...and Jenny if she can be persuaded) are taking a road trip to Austin, where I hope to bump into and old friend Ben Darling.

Right kids, the camera calls for another risky pose, as does next door's sexy party! Peace out homies! x Posted by Picasa
